THE MINISTERIAL BARREN NET.

"THEY SHALL PERISH IN THE PENURY OF THEIR WIT." Sir,—After their long period of misgovernment, tho members of tho present Ministry can liavo 110 reasonable expectation'of adding the "kudos" of victory at tho coming elections to tho glamour of their Dreadnought titles, for they will most certainly fall victims to the "kfdos" of defeat. They have 110 policy, and can create none worthy of tho name without: stealing from the Opposition, and have become so extremely irritable by reason of their political poverty that the taunts that they have none have lashed them into a state of frenzy in which, in sheer desperation, acts of extravagant folly arc done or proposed. On tho other hand, tho glamour of titles or a, state of nervousness will throw millions into a Dreadnought, and 110 promise is given that the folly will not bo repeated. Think what the offer of being made a step higher than Baronet would do, and Parliament- need not be consulted in a matter of. such critical importance! It is dangerous to taunt them. Their Mokauism is worso than their Tnihoaism, and having perpetrated tho former in gross desperation the timo has conio that they should enjoy the latter in obscurity. The hint is given that there is no reason why the seat of their Government should not be removed, regavdless of expense, to Auckland. May I suggest that a removal to Anticyra would be more likely to benefit thorny Navigent Antieyram! They liavo no policy: "They shall perish in the penury of their wit" (Old Douay Bible, Prov. x, ■ 21). Their government is by sudden impulses. Expensive, ill-considered projects are formulated, and as suddenly thrown asido by another impulse. They don't even know their own mir.ds.—l am, etc., TURN THEM OUT. November 17, 1910.
