ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A SEAMAN'S DEATH. I An inquest was held on Wednesday con-1 cerning the death of Abraham Sandstein, a sculleryman on tho Takapuna, who had been found dead in his bunk on tho vessel. Mr. W. G. Riddel!, S.M., returned a verdict that death had been duo to natural causes. Early in the morning the deceased had been found in a fit by one of the crew, but he had reoovcred, and said that he was all right. FACTORY ACCIDENT. A married man named Alfred Small, residing at Jackson Street, Island Bar, was admitted to the Hospital on Wednesday suffering from a broken leg. He ha"d beon engaged in shifting some machinery at a factory in Adelaide Koad, and during operations a pulley fell, thus causing tho accident. HURT AT THE GANG-WAT. Whilo assisting to place the ga.ng-way in position on board the Mararoa at Wellington yesterday morning, Victor Bradstock, a 'quartermaster, slipped and fell to the wharf. He was attended to by Dr. Henry, who found that he was suffering from shock and bruises.
