A "social" was held at the Parish. Hall oil Wednesday evening, to celebrate tho anniversary of the local branch of tho Church of England Men's Socioty, and tho gathering was a distinct success. Quito a largo number of members and their friends vrero present. # "A splendid lot of young fellows, is Sergeant-Major Morrison's report on tho Territorials and Cadets whom ho enrolled on Wednesday evening at Ilalcombe, There was a full muster (25) at tho parnde, and (he young fellows went at their work "with spirit.
