PEOPLE'S DAY. THE LAST OF THE AWARDS. (By Telegraph.-Special Correspondent.! New Plymouth, November 23. The prospects for anything approaching n pleasant day for the public were not at all encouraging early in tho morning of tho second day of tho Taranaki Show. Heavy showers wero frequent until noon, when tho sun broke through, and changed the whole aspect. Tho attendance, though not quite to largo as that of last year, was exceptionally good under tho circumstance:!. It may also bo added that tho: offorta of the Taranaki A. and P. Society to improve the show frem eveiyr standpoint have been recognised. To-day s rinp events wero well contested, and no accidents happened. Further Awards Announced.
