HANNAN AND GAULT. On Wednesday next, in the Town Hall, the Wellington Boxing A sso nation's next tournament will take place. A long-ioo'ced-for meeting between (ho two champion lightweights, Hannan (Australia) and Ganlt (New Zealand) will bo the principal match of the tournament.. These aro two forceful exponents, who, the promoters state, will set a meriy pace. There will be fair preliminaries, in which a number of Wellington's well-known amateurs will appear. The box plan opens at Arm it's on Friday morning. DOMINION HEAVYWEIGHTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) •Timaru, November 22. The professional heavyweight championship was decided to 7 uiglit, the contestants being Herbert (Oamaru), list. 41b., who proved to be in better trim than Mitchell (Millerton), 13st. 41b., the holder. Herbert gradually woro his opponent down, and, in tho fifteenth round, was awarded the light.
