RAILWAY COLLISION.
LOCOMOTIVE CRASHES INTO CARRIAGE. FIREMAN SEVERELY INJURED. By Tclescraoh—Press Association—Copyrieht (Rec. November 22, 0 p.m.) Adelaide, November 22. Eloven railway trucks, loaded with metal, broke away from a train on a steep hill near the quarry, and gathered speed of forty mile? an hour. The trucks were seen by the driver of an approaching passeugor train, who reversed his ongine, but too lato to prevent a collision. The force of the impact crashed tho locomotive into the first carriage, until tho smoke stack prevented further progress; the carriage, fortunately, was empty; tho fireman was severely, and tho driver slightly, injured. Tho passengers who cscaped unhurt raised iv testimonial in appreciation of the driver's presence of mind.
