WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE.
TENTATIVE SUGGESTION. lIASIS OF EXTENSION OUTLINED. Dj Telecr.ioh-I'ress Association-Copyright (lire. November 21, Ifl.lfl p.m.) London, November 21. Sir Edward Grey (Foreign Minister), in a. letter to lord l.ytlon, states that the prospect of a re.il and substantial extension of the suffrage to women has latterly improved. It is, however, unreasonable to expect tho adoption of a measure giving women an absolute majr, rily on the Parliamentary register, but he is in favour of extension on Iho basis of the Conciliation Rill, also Id include married women. The Government's Adult Suffrage Bill will bo so drawn as to facilitate such amendment, which, if it, secures tbo suffragists' acceptance, will be more quickly feasible than a scparato measure. A member of the front Ministerial Bench might more tho amendment if tho supporters of the movement considered it, desirable, but any such opportunities would be useless without union amongst tho snpporters of women's suffrage in the House of Commons.
