Christchurch, November 21. Regarding the cable messages referring to an appeal for .£15,000 for the British Antarctic expedition, Mr. J. J. Kiusey states that originally the funds were insufficient, and the present appeal is for tho general purposes of the expedition. The statement that the amount required was wanted in connection with the repairs to the Terra Nova was ridiculous.
