SCOTT'S ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.

"Morning Post," apart from patriotic reasons, bespeak a hearty response to the appeal to enable Captain Scott to carry to a successful issue bis expedition, which is described as better equipped for scientific ■work than any of its predecessors. (Rec. November 21, 9.50 p.m.) London, November 21. The Council of the Royal Geographical Society has promised an additional X'IOOO for Captain Scott's expedition. (By Telegraph-Press Association.) Christchurch, November 21. Regarding the cable messages referring to an appeal for .£15,000 for the British Antarctic expedition, Mr. J. J. Kiusey states that originally the funds were insufficient, and the present appeal is for tho general purposes of the expedition. The statement that the amount required was wanted in connection with the repairs to the Terra Nova was ridiculous.
