END OP SHEFFIELD CHOIR'S WORLD TOUR. The members cf ihe Sheffield Choir reached London after their* tour of the British Empire last month, arriving at a late hour, and leaving the same night from Mnrylcbone (Great. Central) Station by special' train for Sheffield. Two of the choir contracted enteric fever! on the voyage, homeward from the Cape, and wore removed lo hospital iu London. The scene at the departure from the Cape on S-ptembcr 10 is described as the most, stirring since tho days of tho war. The cilizons turned out in their thousands to attend tho religious sorvico held in front of tho City Hall, and an im-mem-e crowd followed on to the docks, which buzzed with excitement, cheering and singing until the steamer Marathon had drawn away. By citizens, of nil ranks, from the Mayor downwards, tho visitors were accorded a most hospitable welcome, and amongst tho pleasures arranged for tbem was tho celebrated "round the mountain" drive, declared by the loyal Capotonian to be tho finest drive in the world. Only four concerts were given, all attracting largo and enthusiastic audiences. At two tho Caps Choral and Musical Societies, who had been trained under the leadership of Dr. Barrow Bowling, joined forces with tho Sheffield Choir.
