In theory there might bo centralisation of the Government, but in practice this was not so great, the bulk of tho money for public buildings being spent outside. Wellington. In Wellington the great new post office in course of erection would result in a largo saving in rent. The new Christchurch buildings would accommodate a largo number of Departments at present occupying rented ofhccs.
