Jack Donaldson, tho Victorian, defeated Arthur Postle, the Qneenslander, in three championship -sorint events liero to-day. In tho 100 yards, Donaldson won by 2ft. in 0 7-lOsec.; in tho 110 yards by a foot in lOJsec., and in tho 130 yards by 3ft. in 12 3-10 sec. C. E. Holway, tho American also started, but was quite outclassed. N.Z.A.A.A. CHAMPIONSHIPS. A meeting of tho Southland Centre of the N.Z. Amateur Athletic Association was held in Riverton on Wednesday evening last. Mr. J. G. Gow (president) occupied the chair. On the motion of Messrs. C. E. Robertson and Ross Robertson, it was decided that the.Southland championships be held at. Riverton on January 4, 1912, and tlio N.Z. championships at Invercargill on February 21, 1912.
