IS a moderate estimate of the rate at which tho drinking customs ot i\o« Zealand lead her sons and daughters to end their lives by.their own act. JSo man con estimate tho amount of untold mis-ci-v which drunkenness causes in tlie homes of tho drunkards, but a case oi suicide which occurred recently in i> ew Zealand tells its own story- , ~ The body of a girl was found on the railway line, and at tho inquest tho following
PATHETIC LAST MESSAGE was road:—"Goodbye, I am beart-brokcn. Forgivo me for doing this, but I hope that this will let my mother know what a curee drink is. God help my sisters nnd brothers." The cause of suicide was acute mental distress at sight of her parents under tho influence of drink. ELECTORS, CAN YOU FORGIVE yourselves if you use your role to porpetuate this self-destruction. No can say: "It is none of my business! IT IS- YOUR BUSINESS! Every man and woman has a solemn duty" to perform on the voting day. It is vour duty for the sake of your brokenhearted fellow-citizens to roto for No-Li-cense and National Prohibition by strjkiug out the Top Lino on both ballot papers.—Advt.
