He received his special training for the ministry at Kly Theological College. Previous to his oiflination lie was for a time connected with the staff of Haileylinry College, Hertfordshire. Since his ordination lie has held curacies at St. AibaiiV, ■ Birmingham, 1837-1903, and at St. Cuwpe's, Wolverliamiit-oji, ISOS-ISO7. Sinco 1007 he bas been vicar of St. Andrew's, "Wolverhampton, .wlicre he is reported to have done a wonderful work. In addition to academic, qualifications, Mr. Baker has the distinction of bein? a first-class Eugby football player, gaining His "Blue" at Oxford, and subscquently nlnying as three-quarter back- for England in the international matches; so that by his advent the University Uugbv team will gain a most valuable "coach.
