FORTY HOURS' DESPERATE RESISTANCE. By Telerraph— Press Association-Oooyngut St, Petersburg, November 15. Details of (he recent sensation at Lodz, Poland, show that the members of tho band who fougln tho police, with the exception of a notorious robber named Banaseak, escaped. Banaseak bairicaded himself in a garret, and kept tho troops at bay for forty hours. Hβ lived through machine-gun fire, and tho blowing up or" tho house, and only died after the machine-gun had again riddled tho building.
