BATTLE IMMINENT AT NANKING IMPERIAL TROOPS COMMIT EXCESSES. QUEUELESS CHINESE DECAPITATED. Sy Telegraph-Press Association-OoDyriitb* (Rec. November IC, 10.25 p.m.) Shanghai, November IC. A battle is imminent nt Nanking, where General Chang's troops nre committing excesses, every queueless Chinese being decapitated. Ono hundred and fifty dead, including women and children, have been found on tho spot. A reward of MOO dollars has been placed on Chang's head. Tho leading missionary has requested General Chang to suspend hostilities, but ho refused on tho ground of loyalty to the Emperor, and expressed his determination to retake Shanghai, Chin-Kiang, • and Soochau. General Chang has plenty of money and ammunition, and 20,000 followers. The rabble sacked the Government buildings. Foreigners have quitted the city. Lu Yuan Heng, replying to General Chang's request to cease hostilities, declares that the overthrow of the Government is the only conclusion, as there aro no guarantees that tho Government's promises will be fulfilled.
