Tho committee was also satisfied that there was no delay on the part of tho brigade in reaching the scene of tho lire. Tho Mayor (Mr. T. M. Wilford), referriiiit to tho report, remarked that he hoped within a few days to turn on (lie corporation wafer supply for Knsenenth nnd the heights at Hataitai. (Hear, liear ) Melrose would lie supplied within the next few woeks, and also Wadosfown.
