-Mr. Hector FairLrnther, who ha* b?-n nfeenl from Cstrterlqn on a short liolidav trip abroad, has returned home. Mr Hogan, T.-ho has been relieving Mr I'Vir' brother on the staff of the local branch of the W.F.C.A., left for Melbourne ou Thursday, where his people reside. The annual picnic of the Wairarapa L'uit-ott Friendly Societies is to be held at Pigeon Bush on Boxing Day. Special train arrangements are bokif; made. Mr. C. Whyte. of tho Carlerion Post Ollice staff, is at present an inmate of the South Wairarapa Hospital, at Greytown.
