THE INSURANCE BILL.
SEPARATE IRISH FUND. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, November 1-1. Mr. Lloyd-George has introduced an amendment to the Insurance Bill providing for a separate insurance fund for Ireland, tho fund to bo under tho control of separate' commissioners, as is being provided for in the caso of Scotland.
THE AMENDMENT ADOPTED. ANGRY DEMONSTRATIONS. (Eec. November 15, 10.10 p.m.) London, November 15. In tho llouso of Commons tho Irish separate fund amendment to tho Insurance Bill has been adopted. It provides for reduced contributions from employers and workmen, but thoso insured will not be entitled to medical benefits.
Mr. O'Brien moved tho postponement of tho operation of the nmendmont for two years. 110 declared it aimed at benefiting the Hibernian Society exclusively. The motion was rejected. Mr. O'Tirien's of* 's to exclude from approved societies and organisations limited to particular religions caused angry Nationalist demonstrations, and wcro also negatived.
Th" Grand Committee on the Insurance Hill adopted Mr. Sydney Hnxton's amendment providing for the technical education of unskilled workmon.
