BAND CONTEST.

1> (By Telecraph-Prcss Association.) Gisborne, November 12. At an urgent meeting of tho executive of the Band Contest Committee last evening, it was decided that owing to tho small number of entries received for the contest in February to extend the closing date for receiving entries to the 25th instant. The following entries only have been received:—A grade: Wellington Garrison, Westport Garrison, Newton (Auckland), Palinerstun North, Waihi, Federal. B grade: Masterton, Wanganui, City, Whangarei, Gisborne. All efforts are being mado to ensure the comfort of the bands visiting.
