PEOPLE'S OAY. SOME ADDITIONAL AWARDS. (By Telegraph—Special Reporter.! Hawera, November !). -. "People's Day" at Hawera was marred, to a considerable extent, by boisteroiis weather. This, however, did not prevent a large attendance from being present. During the afternoon the weather moderated a little, and the pleasure-seeking crowds were enabled to enjoy the ring event's without disconifort. It was Only during the procession of stock in (lie grand parade that an adequate conception could be formed of tho wonderful dairy cattle which the province' possesses. The spectacular events in tho ring were well contested, and were concluded without mishap.
