THE CANADIAN CENSUS.
INQUIRY TO BE HELD. 8y Teleeraph—Press Asscciation-Oopyritbl Ottawa, November 8. The Canadian Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Birrell) has ordered an investigation regarding the eensus returns of tlio leading cities. Numerous complaints of scamped work have been received. The results of the census wore published on October 18; and general dissatisfaction was expressed with them. Whole streets in ono large town wero not counted, and the census-takers wero said to bo unfitted for the work.
