An account of an opera lion in skingrafting was given at an inquest at Stockport recently on Edith Stuart, aged sixteen ,v.-ho died recently in tha Stockport Infirmary. , The girl's hair was caught in the shafting of a factory where she worked, and she was completely scalped. The doctors decidcd that skm must be graVied on lo her head. Hor eldest brother, who is married, at once volunteered, but another unmarried brother, considering flint lie had less responsibility, went to the infirmary and offered himself for the operation. This was carried out during his holiday week. Sixteen pieces of skin were taken from his less and grafted on to his sister's head. The girl appeared to improve, and was allowed out, but subsequentlv collapstd and died. A verdict of accidental death was returned. "-J
