REWARD OFFERED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrichl Sydney, November 7. The Government is offering a reward of £250 for information leading to tho apprehension of the murderer of Ileury Trovascus, found dead in his Toom at tho Glebo on Saturday. The police nro -convinced that robbery was the motive for tho crime. NO FRESH CLUE. (Rec. November 7, 8.55 p.m.) Sydney, November 7. Thcro are many features of tho Glebo tragedy which rccall tho Bauer murder in Melbourne four years ago, when a diamond merchant was killed in his office and diamonds stolen, The polico are still searching for the mnn who visited Tre.-ascus on Tuesday. No other clue has como to light. It is stated that faint blood-stained finger-prints wero found on Trevascus's door. The police aro reticent. THE BAUER TRAGEDY. Mr. Bernard Bauer, diamond merchant, was battered to death on June 7, 1907, by an unknown assailant in his office in Collins Street. The office was within half a dozen paces of the elevator, and within as many feet of an office in which two men wero working. Mr. Bauer had tho reputation of carrying one of tin; most valuable diamond stocks in Australia. The murderer was never discovered.
