HAWERA SHOW.

LIST OP ENTRIES. A busy staff of workers-is now adding the final touches to tho show ground appointments at the Egmont A. and P. Society's enclosure, so as to have cverytning in readiness for the opening of the snow to-morrow. . .. The list of entries, though not quite up to last year, is entirely satisfactory. For show stock New Zealand has experienced oils of tho worst seasons for some time. Rough weathor and shortage of grass have been disastrous for getting stock into condition, and right down the ccast breeders havo met with the same experience. * The A. and P. Association wore unfortunate in that, having made their dates a fortnight earlier, they have struck an exceptionally lato season. Tho list of entries promises to provide one of tho most attractive exhibitions' yet held under the society's auspices, as quality is a predominant feature. Under favourable weather conditions, this year's show will doubtless be a great success. The entry list, exclusive of the closscs for post entries,vivas-.follows, together with the figures for the last two years:— Cattle, 2G4; sheep, 230; pigs, 2G; horses, 293; competitions, 100; produce, 48; home industries,' G95; dogs, 73; totals —1909, 1347; 1910, 1807; .1910, 1730. It will be. seen that important sections of the show, cattle, sheep and horses, compare favourably with previous years, and the reputation the district possesses as a breeding centra ensures an impressive exhibition. There will be keen competition, in Jers-eys and Ayrshires' and horse sections. The entries throughout the homo. industries soction are decidcdly good. In the produce shed some interesting exhibits will also be staged, those "by the Government in the veterinary ard honey exhibits being well worth attention.
