The postal authorities advise that tho s.s. Moana, which left: Sydney at noo.ll on November -1, has 011 board nil Australian mail. She is due to arrive here 011 Wednesday next, November 8. The meeting of the "Wellington Technical Education lioard, called for to-day, has been postponed until a da to at about the end of the month. Auckland is at last to be given tho Dew courthouso for which it has long been agitating. Tho new building will cost about -£1-100, and is to be erected on .1 picce of h:\d adjoining tho site of the present courthouse. It is said that when completed it will be the finest structure of its kind in tho Dominion. The Public Works Department has accepted (i tender for tho erection of tho building, but tho name of the contractor has not yet been disclosed. Tho establishment of a poods depot, at Te Aro railway station, advocated in a resolution proposed by Mr. A. Leigh Hunt, w.1.1 considered by the council of the Chnmber of Commerce yesterday. The resolution in its original form was not passed, but it was decided to ask the Hallway Department whether it ij possible lo put in an nuxilinrv goods depot at T'e Aro to handle particularly the fruit and produce which go to that end of the town.
