SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc for cloudy and unsettled weather 'jjenepally, with rain in many parts of the country. Variable winds, moderate to strong westerlies, predominating, and the barometer probably falling again everywhere after about sixteen hours. A cyclonic disturbance liar> passed over the country, with lowest pressure about Cook Strait on Saturday evening; high and squally southerly and south-easterly wind?, followed by heavy rain in pari*, especially on the East Const; but the intensity of tho storm soon probably osvins to the influence of a westerly area of low pressure shortly duo in the south.
