THE SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE.
TO BE EXTENDED TO SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrlsht Melbourne, November i. It is announced that tiio Union Steam Ship Company intends to extend (he Wellington-San Francisco service to Sydney. The stenraer Tahiti will inaugurate the service, sailing from Sydney on Docomlicr 9. The Maitai and Aorangi will also be employed. A twenty-eight day service will be maintained. No definite decision respecting a Commonwealth subsidy lias yet been reached, but it is probable that an amount will be voted by the Federal Parliament.
