DRAUGHT HORSE BREEDERS, THE STUD BOOK. (By, Telegraph—Press Association.) Palmorston North, November 2. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Draught Horse Breeders' Association was held this evening, wheu about 50 were present from all parts of the North and South Islands. Air. H. Booth presided. Tho meeting expressed itseli m lavour of continuing and supporting the New Zealand Draugnt Horse Stud .Book, at present published by the Canterbury A. and P. Association.

It was resolved to appoint Mr. E. Alexander, of New Plymouth, as delegate to represent tiie West Coast breeders in conference with the Canterbury Society re combining the North Island with the South island annual meeting.

AYRSHIRE BREEDERS, (By Telesraph.-Ssjeeiai Correspondent.). Palmerston North, November-2. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Ayrshire Breeders' Association was held to-night, Mr. J. Kyle presiding. . The report remarked on tne success of the past year, and tiie increase ol membership. The committee, roierring to the iormation oi a testing association, which had been urged during the year, hoped that such would soon become an established iact. In view of the fact that members are so far apart, a suggestion was made that 'sub-committees be appointed'to meet in the. respective districts, and 'flwliiif ! their' requirements below the committee. Interest in the breed is seated to be keener at present than at any-time during'the past 2U vear.s and tlie demand is also greater, 'i'he report urges that only lirst-class sires shotilu be used, and that the members should refrain from selling any males unless their dams produced a certain quantity of butter-iat during a season, and tho dam of the sire also produced the samo.
