NOTICES TO MARINERS. Several notices to mariners appear in this week's Gazette, including the follow* iiig affecting the New Zealand coast:— Port Nicholson.—Removal of Hredpo over Falcon Shoal. The Wellington Harbour Board has notified that tho dredge Whakarire has for the present ceased work on tho Falcon Shoal, and will not resume until further notice is given.
All that portion of the channel lying: to the westward of the Falcon Clioal buoy 13 available for navigation by vessels drawing up to 26ft. of water.

DECK CARGO. In this wccU'r Gazette, it is notified that deck cargo refutation; arc-: amended as follow:—Under the heading "General," Clause ?„ tho figures and words "150 tons net register" are deleted, and the figures and words "200 tons net register" aTe inserted in. lieu thereof; and the words "in cases of emergency" are deleted. Clause 25: This clause is revoked, and the following clause is substituted therefor, namely:— "25. Dead-weight cargo includes iron, copper, lead, tin, and manganese ores, railway irou, iron boilers, lnmchinorv, and loeomotivee, and coal."
The fom of general or special license A or I> dead weight proscribed iii the regulations, and also tho words "or dead-weight" in the schedule, arc repealed, and the following words and figures are inserted in the schedule, viz.:—

MAItEHE REPORTED. Information has come to hand advising that tlio Tyscr liner Marerc, bound to Australian and New Zealand ports from London, passed tho Capo of Good Hope on October 22. Tho vessel ia due at Wellington about Deccinber 3.
CASE OIL FROM NEW YORK. By the well-known British ship Queen Elizabeth, which left New York on Octobcr 17 for Wellington and Sydney, 35,000 ca<ca of oil will come to hand for this port. The Sydney consignment consists of 55,C00 oases. The Vacuum Oi 1 Company have chartered tho vessel, which ia of 1784 tonn gross register, and is under the command of Captain Quaylc.
ATHENIC'S LOADING PORTS. Expected to leave Wellington for Lyttelton 011 Sunday, the Khaw-Savill steamer Athenic completes discharge at the latter port, aud then commences loading operations. Her other ports of • call will be Port Chalmers, Auckland, a.nd Wellington. She is due back hero on November 24, and sails for London, via way ports, on November 30.
lONIC SAILS NOON SATURDAY. Soon on Saturday is tho time appointed for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's lonic to leave Wellington for London, via way ports. Tho steamer is duo at her destination about December 14.
A MI6SING BARQUENTINE. FIFTY-THREE DAYS OTJT. (By Telegraph-Press Association.) Auckland, November 2. No word has been received as to the whereabouts of the iron barqucntino Mary Isabel, now 53 days out from Whangapc to Sydney. Considerate anxiety is felt for the vessel's safety. It is possible that she may have been dismasted, or blown far out of her course, but, even under thceo circumstances, it would be expected that she would have been sighted by some vessel ere this.
AUSTRALIA AT AUCKLAND. THIRTY-ONE DAYS FROM WELLINGTON, (By Telegraph-Press Association.)
Auckland, November 2. After a lengthy passage of 31 days from Wellington to Auckland, the big Italian sailer Australia arrived this afternoon The vessel left Wellington on October 5 with the balance of her ca.rgo of tiles from Marseilles. Under ordinary eircumstances the ship should have accomplished the trip in twelve days, but she encountered the heavy storms and gales so prevalent about a fortnight ago, and was blown out of her course.
The Wellington Ha.rbonr Hoard's dredge Whaka.riri left Wellington at about 9 p.m. yestcrda.y for Napier, whero eho is to bo engaged for some months, Tho vessel should arrive at Napier about 9 a.m. tomorrow.
Captain Thomson is now in ehajgo o£ tho Union Company's collier Kaiapoi.
Due at Port Chalmers to-day, the Kitt&wa will undergo her periodical overhaul there. Mr. F. L. Peterson joins the Kamoiia as chief engineer, in place of Mr. Dockar, who is proceeding to Sydney to join the Taviuni as chief.
Mr. T. Par.c.oe, purser of the Tarawera, joined tho Mararoa yesterday, vice Mr. Familton, who ia to ship with the Wakatipu. Mr. A. Thompson has gone as purser of the Tarawora.
An expected arrival in port on Saturday is the Westport Coal Company's steamer Canopus. The Komnta, which arrived last night, returns tn the West Coast port tomorrow.
Niwaru, 6.5., of the 'l'.vscr Lino's fleet, is due at Wellington from London, via way ports, on November 11. The vessel lias 1500 tons of cargo to discharge here.
