For the purpose of replenishing her bunkers the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Kin.utaka is due in port from Port Chalmers to-day. On Saturday she proceeds to Auckland, where lloine loading will bo nonmenced. Subsequently she visits Tokomr.ru Bay, Gisborne, and Napier before finally loading up at Wellington. Plymouth was reached the following day at 8.28 p.m., j,nd after embarking T>;;>isengcrs and mails the vessel departed for Teneriffe three hours later. Fine weather was experienced down Channel, and the island port was made at 7.30 p.m. on, September 18. Here bunkers wero replenished, and a start was made for Cape Tor/n at 8.20 a.m. on SeMember 19. After having had line weather the Turakina arrived at the South African port at 5.20 p.m. on October 4. The "hook" was dropred in Table Bay for the night, and the docked next morning. Passengers and mails wore taken aboard, and the Turakina left for Hobart at 6 p.m. on October 5. Hoavy weather was met with a.ll the way across the Southern Ocean, and this was accompanied by fierce snow storms. In consequence, Hobart was not reached until 5.50 p.m. on October 26. Here the vessel made a stay of -39 hours, and Vi-0 tons of cargo were discharged, and bunker coal taken on board. At Hobart 70 passengers disembarked. The finrJ Rtage of the long journey was entered upon at Q. 20 a.m. on October 28. Fine weather was met with on the run across, and i*'armvell Spit was passed at 8 a.m. ycclerday, port being made at 5.25 p.m. After being granted pratioue, the Turakina berthed at tho King's Wharf at 6.25 p.m. Cantain T. Wilson; sixth, Mr. J, Hay; chief refrigerating engineer. Mr. F. S. Wales; second, Mr. A. K. Wilson; electrician, Mr. J. R. Middleton. The. ship's Gurgeon is Dr. T. S Hines. and Mr. R. Bigg (lato Rakaia) is steward-in-charge. Tho Turakina Ims CO4O tons of cargo to put out at Wellington, and, by working day and night continuously, as in the case of the lonic last week, it is hoped to dispatch her for Lyttelton on Sunday. Upon completion of discharge at the latter port the Turakina will load at LyUelton* Port. Chalmers, Tsma.ru. and Wellington.- She js scheduled to leavo here for London, via way ports, on November 18. This week the To Anau will take up tho Flora's running, from Dunedin via way ports, to Wellington, Westport., and Greymouth. She should get away from here for tho West Coast on Monday.

After discharging part of her cargo of jarrah at Auckland, the Scalcs chartered steamer Clan Ross will go to Opau to put out the balance. She will then return to Auckland to be docked, after which she will lead in New Zealand. She leaves in lime to catch the January wool saltß at London. Early this morning the Shaw, Savill, • and Albion Compauy's lonic left Lyttelton lor Wellington, where Homeward loading will be completed. It is anticipated that she will clem* for London, via way ports, on Saturday. At 9 p.m. to-day the Wellington narbour Board's dredge Whakariri is to leave Wellington for Napier. The vessel ha»4 not been dismantled in any way, and is ready to commence work immediately on arrival at her destination. She has 2GU tons of spoil as ballast, and .is expected to make Napier 36 hours aXter departure. A departure from Wellington for Wang.v nui to-day will be the coastal steamer Wairau. Messrs. Levin and Co. arc shipping, a large quantity of cargo by tho Tavinul, which leaves for Patca to-day. Captain Christian, of the Ngatoro, ha* been granted annual leave. liis place is being taken by Captain Muir, lata chief officer of the Nfrahore. Mr. second officer of the Ngahere, goes chief of the vessel, and Mr, if. U. Alderton has signed on as second. At 3 p.m. yesterday the Union Company's coaster Haupiri left Napier for Wellington. The vessel is due in port about 2 p.m. to-day,, and,' after putting out 3CO tons of cement, leaves for Greymouth direct. She returns to Wellington, and then goes on to Auckland, via East Ooast bays and ports. y Pukaki. fi.s., is to leavo Lyttelton at 10 a.m. to-day for Wellington. She sails for New Plymouth and We3t Coast ports at 3 p.m. to-morrow. It to hoped to dispatch the Komata from Wellington for Greymouth to-day. From the "latter port the vessel takes a full load of timber to Lyttelton. The Union Company's steamer Kurow a-rrived at Sydney on Monday with a cargo of timber from Kaipara. It is not expected that she will bo delayed by the strike there. A start has been made to discharge her, and ©he will probably clear about the end of next week. Thereafter she loads coal at Newcastle for Wellington and Picton. Notwithstanding tbo strike, Kaitangata, s.s., has managed to get out her cargo of timber at Sydney, ana wns to have left for Newcastle cai Monday night. She subsequently leaves for the Bluff and Duuedln with coal. Leaving Wellington at 3 p.m. to-morrow the Rosamond will only go as far ae Picton. She then returns here.
