PEARCE BENEFIT.
0 . A benefit concert was given in Fullford's Hall, Brooklyn, last -evening, by tho Wellington Tramways Band, in aid of the widow and children of the late Mr. Walter Pearce. Tho hall was well filled, and an enjoyable programme of musical items wns rendered. The band played three selections, and several local artists assisted. A feature of tho entertainment was the performance of a minstrel troup, who styled themselves the "Brooklyn Duo." During tho evening Mr. R. A. Wristht, M.P. for Wellington South, delivered a short address, in which he stated that

At a date to bo arranftwl shortly the commerce will call a meeting of subscribers for the purpose of receiving suggestions as to the best means ol investing the fund. In conclusion, Mr. Wright thanked all thoso who had taken part in the performance, Mr. Fullford for the use of the hall, and the Brooklyn Baptist Church,', for the use of seats.
