WELCOME TO BRO. KEESHAW. Members of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows assembled at tho Oddfellows' Hall last night for tbo purpose of welcoming homo Bro. J. Kershaw, corresponding secretary of tlio Moveable Committee of the Now Zealand branch of the order, who has just returned from a trip to England. Grand Master A. J. lbljotson presided. Bro. Kcrshaw was welcomed by tho chairman, and spooches of welcome wero also mado by P.P.G.M. John Smith, D.P. Loasb.v (Greytown) and P.G. Kent Johnston (Feathei'ston). In replying, Bro. Kershaw gave a full account of'his voyage to England, with details of tho animal meeting of tlio Moveable Committee, which was attended by over 700 delegates from all parts of tho world. His speech wa.s listened to with much interest by those present.
Refreshments were dispensed during the evening, and a musical programme added to tho pleasure of the gathering. Songs were contributed by P.P.G.M. J. Vverv and P.P.G.M. T. S. Powell, while Mrs. Gardiner contributed a pianoforte solo nnd Mr. C. Halo a recitation.
