A SITE AT LAST.
FOR THE DOMINION MUSEUM. Cabinet has decided that the new Dominion museum, together with a national art gallery, shall l:o (.-reefed on a fine site close to the old building. It will front the npw alignment 'of Museum Street and Sydney Street. Tho museum is to be contained in two stories, with galleries, and it is intended to place tlio art gallery on a third iloor. Ono aide will adjoin the present Mine"; Department building in Sydney Street. This decision involves the abandonment of Mount Cook as tv site for the nin-cum. I'lnns for the new building are well in liand, and tho Government; has authorised tho calling of tenders as soon a.=s possible.
