AT THE BASIN.
ST. PATRICK'S COLLEGE SPOUTS. The 'twenty-seventh annual athletic Jports meeting of St. Patrick's College was held on the Basin Reserve yesterday. Tho weather was ideal, and, in tho afternoon, there was a fairly largo crowd present. The meeting produced some promising athletes, and, whilo only ono record was broken, some creditable performances were put up. Tho milo raco was postponed till to-day. Thero are two dozen entries for the event. In tho hop, step and jump competition Alan Brennan, a Taranaki stripling, eclipsed his own record of 41ft. Bin. by covering 12ft.
