GISBORNE AND "BOOST." (Br Tclcirapb.-Presß Association.) Gisbornc, October 30. At the Chamber of Commerco this nftcrnoou tho president (Mr. «1. W. Bright) . commented ill favourable terms on the "baling" methods employed in America to advertise different towns and districts, and advocated a similar plan for Gisborne. The Chamber deprecated certain disparaging remarks mndo as to GMwrne's isolated condition, which led outsidors to believe that the town v.-a> inaccessible. It was stated thnt during the past five years only two steamers had been unable to call at the port. The matter will be further considered at next meeting, with « view to arriving at a scheme to "boost" Poverty Bay.
