SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc for a falling barometer in the southern districts and 'elsewhere after 24 hours. Fair and warm weather will probably prevail except on the West Coast and southernmost districts of >the South Island, where showery weather is to be expected. Westerly breezes generally, and changing to northerly and increasing strong to gale shortly southward of New Plymouth end Oastlepoint. A low pressure is due to pass in the south about Thursday. High pressure prevail? in the north, and the Tjarometer rose slightly above normal In the southern districts ooi Sunday, but has fallen again to-day. Carterton, October 30— After several days of unsettled weather, a chanje for the brighter appears to have set in.
