POSITION IN NORTH ISLAND. The present position of Native lands in the North Island is shown in a return presented to the Houso of Representatives by tho Native Minister on Saturday morning. Following arc the total areas in tho main divisions:— Acres. Land, the title to which has not been ascertained, otherwise panatupu, or customary lands 2,777,209 Lands, to which titles were ascertained, and (1) leased to Europeans 2,422,409 (2) Held by owners 5,029,277 Total 10,820,483 The lands were (istributcd as follow .
