The lower flooi-s, where were a largo number of motor-ears, lorries, oil, and other stock, wero damaged by water and smoke. A number of smaller tenants also suffered. Tbo firo brigades woro handicapped by a poor water supply. A squad of bluejackets from tho warships rendered valuahlo assistance in removing motor-cars and helping the firemen. Tho damago is estimated at .£IO,OOO, but is covered by insurance. (Ecc October 28, 1.10 a.m.) Sydney, October 28. It is now stated that tho damago at Messrs. Moorfoofs promises amounts to .£25,000.
