TAMWORTH TRAGEDY.
EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST. By Tel<:irra.ph—Press Aesociation-Copyrisht (Rec. October 27, 9.10 p.m.) Sydney, Octobor 27. Mrs. Covers, who was attacked by tho young man Lawless at' Tamworth, after ha murdered hor daughter, received three bullet wounds, and had ono of her oyos destroyed. At tho inquest on tho body of the daughter, Una Covers, tho arresting constable deposed that lawlcss gave no reasons for tho deed. Ho said, "Poor little Una! I must havo been mad. 1 wish I wero dead. I don't want a doctor, savo to be hanged." Tho deceased girl's father stated that Lawless was formerly a regular visitor at his home, but during tho last year ho was not friendly.
