.•! Wannanui, October 27. I'or some timo past tho minds of members of hospital boards have been exercised over tho question of representation. At present tho difficulty is that in several _of the counties which send representatives to tho board, there are also boroughs and town districts, and the dates of the elections of each falling at different times of the year makes it difficult to arrange representation. To reme.Tv this a committee set up by tho local board recommends a new system of representation, based on the amounts of contributions by local bodies. This will have the cliect of increasing the number ot members from U to 10. Tho InspectorGeneral of Hospitals, to whom the proposal was submitted, does not approve but suggests certain temporary adjust! ments which the board will consider at next meeting. The fate of the Wanganui Harbour Board s Luipowering Bill continues to be discussed in the press and on the street, and there appears a decided disposition on tho pan of Government supporters to saddle the Opposition with the blame for f its rejection. This opinion the latter s supporters are equally decided in condemning as an electioneering dodge
