SWIMMING.
SWIFTS LADIES' BRANCH. The annual general meeting of the ladies' branch of the Swifts Amateur Swimming Club was held at the Y.M.C.A. last evening, Mr. F. Wilton presiding over a good attendance of members. The annual report congratulated members on the success of the first carnival, held last .season, and on tho increase of membership. . Several new members were elected. The following committee' was elected for the ensuing season:—Misses 0. Jlovs, 0. Smith, G. Bates, C. Bates, K. King, .31. Jlurrell, G.. Turton,' D. Webb (hon. secretary), and Mrs. Lamb /hon. treasurer). It was decided to arrange for the opening. of the season at a later meeting.
