MILITARY PENSIONS.
IN LIEU OF OLD AGE PENSIONS. The Military Pensions Bill, which was introduced in the Houso of Representatives early yesterday morning, provides that any person etilitkd lo a pension ifflJer (lio Old Ago Pensions Act, who served is a soldior in any Maori war, shall be mtitled, in lieu of a pension under (hat \ct, to a military pension of the same imount. Tho conditions will be the same as thoso controlling Uie granting of >ld age pensions. The question whether i person is entitled to a military pension .nstead of an old age pension will bo !-cidrd by the Magistrate to whom tfio implication for a iwiision is made.
