Tho man h;i stolen a sheep, and Mr. Colo shot hii and left him lying where ho fell. Tl native died, and Mr. Colo stated that 1 had not reported the mitftr as ho di not wish to be further bothered wit it. On tho failure of tho jury to convic the deportation of Mr. Colo was order< by tho Imperial Government. In Euocles: recently Mr. Lewis, a well-known citiix of Bulawayo, was acquitted on a chan of murdering a native whom he had slu after his daughters had complained of tl man making improper suggestions them.
