SCENE AT THE FUNERALS, (By Telegraph-Special Correspondent.) Palmerston, October 25. Tho funerals of tho four victims of tho Foxton drowning tragedy wore very largely attended this afternoon, a great cortege of townspeople, showing their sympathy with the relatives in this extremely soil bereavement. A largo number of ljcautiful wreaths were al«) sent by friends of tho deceased. The funeral service at the cemetery, whero fully 2000 people wero present, was conducted by tho Rev. H. G. Kosher. The pall-hearers wero as follow:—For Mrs. Robert: Messrs. J. Senior, G. Torstonssn, W. Kirk, E. 11. B. Holben, C. A. M. Turner, and J. Mounsey; for Mrs. Grove: Messrs. W. Dawic'k, Pratt. W. Tumor, Litchfield, F. Kirk, and W. A. Browning. The employees of Messre. Dunk and Pringlo acted as bearers for the two children, Rex Eugene Grove and John Hardy Grove, Flags all over the town wero half-masted.
