The Palmerston Technical School Committee met last evening, Mr. W. H. Collingwood presiding. The report of the director indicated progress during the month. In the sheep-shearing class, nineteen pupils had joined, Mr. Voss being in charge. Wooi-classing and baling had been taught under the supervision of Mr. .T. Balsillie. Thanks were due to Air. It. S. Abraham, who had provided Che sheep for shearing, and who had also given a donation of .1:3 .'ls. Messrs. Levin and Company had provided the necessary machinery, Mr. S. H Lancaster free grazing for the sheep, mid the Manawntii A. and P. Assocfntion the necessary shed accommodation. The annual elocutionary competitions had resulted in a profit of .£3l. The annual sports Catherine ivould be held on November 8, and the school would break up for the term on November 22.
