FORECAST AND SUMMARY.

Present indications are for strong westerly winds generally, but backinE to northerly and increasing southward of New Plymouth and Napier for a westerly low pressure due to pass in the south on Monday night or Tuesday morning. Fair weather probable on tho Last Coast, but increasing cloudiness and more unsettled weather on the West Ooast and southernmost districts. Holiday prospects for general weather conditions are at prosent rather unfavourable. Tho barometer rose steadily in the north during the night, and as the storm passed rapidly eastward tho weather improved everywhere to-day.
