Ho covered the distance from the previous point at a speed of a mile a minute, and ho is confident he will reach San Francisco. BALLOONISTS RESCUED AT SEA. (Rec. October 21, 1.5 a.m.) Paris, Octobor 20. Tho balloon Helene, with three passengers, while making a flight from St. Cloud, was blown out to sea. Its occupants woro rescued after they had keen threo and a half hours in the wator in midChannel. FATALITY IN GEORGIA. (Rec. October 21, 1.5 a.m.) New York, October 2C. Mr. Ely, an aviator, fell while flying in tho Stato Fair Grounds at Macon, Georgia, and died from his injuries. He had only recently been married.
