THE ROYAL CHORAL SOCIETY.
Tho public will doubtless bo attracted in largo numbers to the Town Hall tonight, on the occasion of the performance of Sir Frederic Owen's "Ruth" by tho Royal Choral Society. The tenor soloist, Mr. Sydney Duller, is really well worth hearing, whilst Mrs. Gmvor Burns (soprano). Miss Gladys Watkins (soprano), Miss Nellie Castlo (contralto), and Mr. Clarkson (bass) are all names that also imply that the polo work will be capably given. With a Inrgely-augmented chorus, of which tho tenor section is mentioned as being particularly good, and a strong orchestra, the society, under the conductorship of Mr. Mnughan Harnett, may bn expected to provide an enjoyable concert. 'Tho doors aro to open at 7.15 tonight, nud the performance commences at 8. Those wishing to reservo seats can do so at the Dresden up to 5 o'clock. A very successful final rehearsal was hold in tho Town 11 nil last evening, and it is expected that this performanco will ho one of the finest the society has yot given. Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Islington nro-to be present at tlio production of "Ruth."
