In the Legislative Assembly, Mr. 'Wood, who was Colonial Secretary and Minister for Minos in the Wade Government, and wlio lias'taken part in one or two violent sconos in Parliament recently, again came into collision with tho Speaker (Mr. Willis). Mr. Wood said ho declined to be lectured, and angrily left the Chamber. Mr. Willis ordered him to return. Mr. Wood took off his coat and challenged tho officers of the House to touch him. The police declined to interfere. Mr. Griffith, Minister in charge of tho Ilouse at tho time, moved Mr. Wood's suspension until ho apologised. Tho motion was carried by 21 votes to 12.
