SWIMMING.
Af,\T?ANTiT SURF CLUB. The first general meeting of tho_ MaraHui Surf Club was hold at Lyall Bw on Tuesday. Mr. U. S. Hill occupied tho chair. About 100 members wore present'. The report of tho organisms computteo showed tho membership as 115, including 42 ladies. Mention was mado of tho scarcity of junior members., Sixteen new members were olectod and the draft rules were read and adopted. The following officers wore olccted: President, Dr. Newman; vice-presidents, Lady Find lay, Mcsdames Winder, and Fuller, Messrs. G. S. ■ Hill, J. Fuller, jun., J. A; Smith. A. 'R. Clater, R. Fletcher, G. "Winder, S Richardson, and Dr. A. Izard; captains, Mrs. Mawtell and Mr. E. M. Minifio; vic-e-captains, Miss G. Melvillo and Mr. G. H. Noal; hon. secretary, Mr. W;'C. Collier; hon. treasurer, Mr. W. 11. Ellis; hon. secretary and treasurer (ladies), Miss I. Smith; committee. Misses M. Smith and M. M'Bcan, Messrs. J. f Wilson and V. H. Clifford; hon. auditor. Mr. J. A. Smith.
